I grew up in Salem Massachusetts on the jagged yet tranquil North shore of Boston, perhaps a metaphor for my upbringing. My first generation American legacy has been shaped and imprinted with the undeniable influence of my Irish heritage.

The ups and downs of my childhood profoundly affected the course of my life. The upside included learning about love, kindness, strength, grace, and loyalty - all with a health dose of humor, curiosity, and encouragement to “be my own person”. The downside? There was an equally unhealthy dose of fear, denial, servitude, loss, sadness, abandonment and despair.

I became an observer, seeing life through a whole new lens, with a sense that many times life was not what it appeared to be. My role as a psychotherapist, a meditator, an entrepreneur, and an activist unfolded. I was drawn to go down a different path and started living it. Or, as the adage goes, “I was walking the walk”.

As my education continued, I learned more and more about endurance, tolerance and compassion. My ability to genuinely care for people is deeply seeded. My belief in total innocence regardless of shortcomings or flaws (including my own) is heartfelt, and true.

My understanding and appreciation of what total innocence means has grown and matured into a fresh model of therapy that inspires clients to be at ease, while developing a strong level of confidence. It is a collaborative process between client and therapist leading to a solid inner self as well as a desire to be fervently invested in change. Helping others heal, unveiling hidden potential, and broadening a sense of mind, heart, soul, mean everything to me.

If you feel we may be a good fit for each other please set up a time, so that you may interview me in person, free of charge.
